Our Mission is to provide a business simulation model, infused with technology and real-word application in an educational setting, that will foster and support an environment in which traditional business students and special needs students will work in partnership gaining skill sets to help them transition out of high school and into a career pathway that they have chosen.
Having grown up in the Santiam Canyon, Debbie Fawcett has become an advocate in the advancement of educational opportunities for students from all walks of life, and at all stages of life. She is currently a Business Education Instructor at Santiam High School and an Adjunct Professor at Chemeketa Community College.
“I feel with technology and innovation we can build and grow our rural communities. We have so much untapped potential, we just need to make our vision a reality, and that is what Switch Back Computer Cafe-Connecting Canyon Education was inspired to do.”
